Feature and Follow #4

Hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee a meme that gives you the opportunity to make new friends throughout the blogging community!  And this week's activity was no picnic.

Q: Activity! Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book from a book. What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common?

A: I know this post is a day late, but it took me some time to come up with a book character that I actually would want to be. Of course I would love to be Hermione Granger, I mean there is no magic she can't do and she is loyal, but I knew she would be a popular choice. Since I fancy myself as being unique I had to stand out. But then that left me scrambling to find another female character I would want to be. Now I know what you are thinking, I could be a male character, but I want to keep it real. So, after much debate and headaches I have chosen the character I would like to be.....Rayna from the Protector series by M.R. Merrick.

For those of you who have read the book then you probably know my reasons why.....but if you haven't allow me to explain. First of all, Rayna is a bad-ass who doesn't take crap from anyone, especially cocky people and demons. She can definitely take care of herself, yup, no need to take care of her. She can more than take care of herself with her skills and abilities as a demon hunter, a shape shifter and a witch. But beside that she is loyal, dedicated, passionate, sarcastic, caring, smart, and is proud to call herself different, being part demon and part hunter.

So what do I have in common with Rayna you ask? Besides the fact that I am proud to say I am unique and a little bit weird, I don't often take crap from people. I am definitely not afraid to stand up for myself, even if that means getting physical. I have always been a fighter, but like Rayna I have a softer side. I too am loyal to those I call friends, I am immensely dedicated often volunteering for things that will put me over my head, passionate...obviously, caring and I do pride myself on being smart, and a smart-ass to boot.

So, is there a book character you would want to be or one that you have a lot in common with? I would love to hear your thoughts!
