Bout of Books 7.0

Bout of Books

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

I am so excited to be doing this post! This last January was my first Bout of Books and I am just absolutely thrilled to be participating again! I didn't reach all my goals last time, but I did meet a ton of new bloggers and read some great books, and I know that this Bout of Books will be no different! Since I didn't reach all of my goals last time, I have decided to leave most of my goals the same.

My Goals:

-Read at least 8 books
-Review all 8 books
-Participate in as many Twitter chat's as time will allow (These are so much fun, these are a serious must)
-Participate in 2 challenges

The books I Plan to Read:

Darkness of Light by Stacie Marie Brown
Miss Me Not by Tiffany King
Thereafter by Terri Bruce
ReVamped by Ada Adams
ReAwakened by Ada Adams
The Book of Lost Souls by Michelle Muto
Forest of the Forsaken by Joanne Brothwell
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Can't wait to get started! Bout of Books here I come!!!

  1. ReVamped and ReAwakened are definitely must reads! Good luck with your goals!

I'm considering signing up. It'll be my first time, but I need to see what that week looks like for me first. :)

    1. I am really looking forward to reading those two! Pretty sure they will be my first choice!

You should definitely sign up! This is only my second. It is so unintimidating and non-threatening. Plus the people who participate are totally awesome! I have become really good online friends with many of them!

I really hope your week allows you to join!

  3. I've heard of Bout of Books but never took part. I'm not sure how a week-long readathon would work for me (I'd read every possible moment? That is a bit much), but I am considering taking part. Possibly set a target as you did, a number of books to aim for. That might work!

Good luck with the readathon! I hope you manage to read all 8 books!

    1. January was my first, and I instantly fell in love! I love how it is all no pressure. You set your own pace and race against yourself. The best part is all the awesome bloggers you will meet!

You definitely should participate, and don't worry about not meeting your goal, I didn't even meet mine last time, it is just something to help push you!

Thanks I hope I do too!
