My Review~

Aurora Sky does not have a glamorous life. Everything she ever wanted was taken from her in one fatal accident. Now she is a government pawn. At the governments beck and call, going undercover as the very thing she is trained to hunt. A vampire. But as per usual for Aurora, things don't go as planned and the past comes back to haunt her. Her secrets are getting harder to hide from and people are getting harder to trust.

Since becoming a vampire hunter Aurora has had a pretty hard life. She can't go to the college she wants, she plays bait and trap for a government determined to eradicate Alaska of its undead problem, she can't have the guy she wants, and she can't just quit.

And her newest case very well might be the death of her. She is the prime suspect in the murder of one the most popular vampires in Anchorage and the person investigating is determined to nail it to Aurora. No matter what. But she is heating up more than the prime suspect list. Things are heating up between her and a certain vampire hunter... I will not name names, but I can tell you that a part of me wants it to happen. Part of me begs for her to forget about Fane and move on, but then Fane goes and does something... so, so wonderful and I melt into a puddle of goo. Yea, Fane does that, amazing things that make me and Aurora go slack in the jaw.

As you can see things are complicated for Aurora, but it's more than her sex life that has her tied up in knots. She has discovered a truth that will not only put her in danger, but will change everything. And not just for her, but for everyone she knows and loves.

In true Nikki Jefford fashion the characters are great. Growing more and more with every book. Each character becomes richer with every word Nikki Jefford pours into them. It is the characters that help sell this incredible story. And with Bad Blood we get it all with the characters. Snark, humor, mean girls, trouble, secrets, life and love. We are in their world. We are watching their lives. We are visitors and it is a great ride.

Bad Blood is a gut wrenching story that definitely changes the playing field for Aurora Sky. Nikki Jefford hits us with a revelation so huge it sweeps us into the ocean and leaves us there. The good news is that she does send us a life vest in the form of a sexy man that any woman would want to sink their teeth into. Bad Blood was an exhilarating ride that kept me on the edge of my seat and left me begging for more. I want more. No, I NEED more!

Bad Blood was an absolutely Fane-tas-tic read!

How about a couple of teasers? These are some of my favorite lines from the book.
