CW: 1) What is your favorite genre of book to write?

The Few Are Angels trilogy is a New Adult Paranormal Romance and while I enjoy that genre, I read more adult contemporary romances than anything else. So, I started a new adult contemporary romance and I find that I really enjoy that category.

CW: 2) If you could be any character in any of your books, who would you be and why?

Gah, I write such broken characters, I’m not sure that I want the life I have written for them. If I had to choose I’d Ella. She grows throughout the series and in Eternal Light, the fourth book in the series, we see how strong Ella becomes.

CW: Can't wait to see it!

CW: 3) I know you are a fan of Call of Duty, (I am too) why do you play the game?

Ask my guys friends, I suck at the game, BUT it is so freaking fun to kill ZOMBIES!! Once we hit level 5 and the hell hounds are set loose, I’m screaming into my headset, “I’m down, come and revive me, somebody!! ANYBODY!!” LOL. Girl, please tell me you play on a PS3 so we can kill some zombies together!!

CW: I do love me some COD, but I play it on the Xbox 360...bummer.

CW: 4) If you could be any character in any book, who would you be and why?

I would LOVE to be Nora from Hush Hush. Why? Because I’m in love with Patch. :)

CW: Patch is pretty dreamy!

CW: 5) I love your idea of the Chory, a twist on the newbie vampire. What was the inspiration for this?

I know people are going to say, “Ah, she is crazy.” But to me a vampire isn’t sexy. To me, vampires will never be sexy creatures that I’d beckon to my neck. To me, a vampire is and will always be Nosferatu, the original vampire, but today the vampire to so romanticized that I decided to make Kale part vampire part human. The word Chory means: ill or diseased and that is what vampirism is in Few Are Angels, a disease. Once a Chory turns into a true vampire, he or she will be like Nosferatu.

CW: 6) If you could be any supernatural being what would it be and why?

This is going to sound weird, but I am convinced that I want to be a ghost and I have no clue why. There is something romantic about a ghost falling for human and then trying to be seen in a corporeal form. :)

CW: Plus, being a ghost allows you to haunt all those that bothered you and stalk all those that you loved!

CW: 7) How do you find that balance between writing and life?

It’s so hard. I feel like I am constantly being pulled in so many directions all the time. Most of the time, my friends and family have to come and dig me out of my writing hole!

CW: So is this your way of telling us that your friends should carry a shovel?! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by Inger, and thank you so much for giving us more of Kale; I can always use a little more of that!!!!

My Review

I am a huge fan of the Few Are Angels series, and an even bigger fan of Kale; the tortured, "diseased" Chory from the series. His pain, torture and guilt just absolutely eat at your heart. His anguish over what happened in his past is so heart wrenching that you want to crawl in the pages and comfort him. Even though you know that the one he want's is Ella-Helene. Inger Iversen does such a good job building Kale's pain and showing us the struggles that he has endured not only in his life as Chory, but in his life before his change.

Being a fan of Kale as I am, I was extremely excited when Inger Iversen announced that Immortal Heart would be a prequel about Kale and from his POV! I am pretty sure I about died. The chapters we get in the series were just never enough for me, I always wanted more. And in Immortal Heart I got it. I got to see a glimpse at who he was before Ella entered his life, and just how hard his life has become and how hard he has tried to make retribution for all the pain he has caused. No one needs to punish him, because he punishes himself more than any person ever could.

In Immortal Heart we get an in depth look at how Kale has struggled to keep his past from those he cares about, trying to ensure that his pain and the danger that follows him only effects him. You can think of this book as a glimpse at Kales "so-called life." Because let's face it, he just hasn't been living, and in Immortal Heart you will see just what I am talking about.

Inger Iversen does such a good job with the telling of this story that it is completely seamless from this prequel to book 1 in the series, with Immortal Heart ending right where Few Are Angels began. In fact if I didn't know better I would say that the Immortal Heart came first. No one would be the wiser!

Immortal Heart was a great look at Kale's past, struggles, pain and path to the Arc and I absolutely loved every minute of the ride.
